This photo is of a student at a school farm at Tunamkumbuka. Many students in school in rural parts of Tanzania can struggle to get the full meals of nutritious food that they need. This can impact upon not only their health but also their performance at school – how can we expect children to work hard at school when their bodies and brains don’t have enough fuel? School farms and gardens can be an excellent way to increase food security for students.
