In this event we heard from Annalyse Keys from PlantVillage Nuru about how that free Swahili app is helping farmers improve their diagnosis of crop diseases in cassava and maize and so improve their yields. You can view her slides here.
We then heard from Herry Kassunga about his experience of using the app with Digital Champions from Hope and others in Serengeti District. Finally we heard from Revi Sterling about her advice from USAID WomenConnect project about how to ensure apps are designed with rural African women in mind. This was followed by a discussion.
